New Moon in Aquarius

Welcome to the New Moon in Aquarius which waned new at 4:39 PM EST.  The Moon as we know is our sense of perception, the receptive sensory impressions from our environment. It symbolizes the foundation of our  emotional intelligence… feeling as a product of identification… how we react and that which we need for our emotional security.

Aquarius is the “I know” of the zodiac, Masculine fixed air ruled by the planet Uranus named for the greek sky god ruler of the universe.. the planet of change, disruption and the unconventional. Aquarius is original free and independent, the sense to wander new paths even if others don’t approve, rebellious for the sake of being rebellious, the rebel without a cause, if you will.

In the 7th house, the descendant, the point of encounter where we meet others on a one to one basis… our subconscious entering into our external lives giving us clues as to what this Supermoon has in store for us being closer to the earth and aligned with the sun and the earth in such a way that her energies are just that much stronger.

The aspects are of course, the conjunction with the Sun and our sense of self realization sitting with the Moon in Aquarius identifying our outer selves with our inner as they merge becoming one and the Sextile with Uranus, where we set ourselves apart from societal norms; our need to be different aligned in harmony with the Moon’s newfound need for freedom, but freedom from what is for each of you to decipher.  In the 9th house, Uranus sends us on a life expanding mind exploration which sits in the powerful and aggressive Aries in the 9th house.. the house where we search for meaning of life.

I’d say we have a pretty good set of energies whirling around us.

In the Hebrew calendar, today is the 29th of Sh’vat.  The parashat for this week is found in Leviticus which indicates the power of Sh’vat to make transformations and to have changes in our lives.  On each season the three astrological signs create an alignment of three energetic forces – called in Kabbalah right, left and central columns (plus, minus and a neutral, respectively). Aquarius is the second sign of the winter (left column, minus), which means that it contains very strong forces of attraction, drawing and a desire to receive. Hence is the intensive ambition of the Aquarius, their tendency focusing in achieving their goals, and their stubbornness and the difficulty to destruct them.

Its astrological sign is Aquarius, which is ruled by the letter צ (Tsadik).   tsadik

The connection between them is the enormous hunger for drawing knowledge from the universe. Sh’vat was created by the letter Tsadik.  The connection between the sign and the letter is  Knowledge is power and also the base for true freedom, the inner quest of Aquarius.  The Tsadik is represented by the tree… the physical tree which represents the spiritual Tree of life.  As the material physical tree has a revealed part (trunk and branches) and a hidden part (roots) so is our reality – our physical body and our soul. The same way the tree grows opposing gravity, so are Aquarians, going against the societal norm. This is the power of life – to be creative and original.

– Tsadi is sphere of Yesod … Yesod Olam, the funnel that brings all the forces of the upper levels to our level at Malkuth. This is why the symbol of the sign of Aquarius is the guy carying the symbol for abundance. In our generation, what we have an abundance of is “knowledge”  it’s available everywhere.

In our current age of technology and having the ability to share knowledge…even in this venue here, we have almost unlimited access to anything we wish to know.  We remember that centuries ago, it was not so… only the so called learned men and priests were allowed access to the secrets of life and they alone had the ultimate responsibility of “interpreting” the sacred writings, so the system as it was led to absolute corruption… and some societies wanted things to remain that way, that’s why we keep getting the big push to limit what goes out on the internet… you can’t have complete freedoms while adding restrictions…so you take the good with the bad and its up to you… the discerning spirit guiding you to decipher for yourself what is your truth.  In modern society, even the so called mystery schools and hidden philosophies are opening their doors and their books giving wide spread access to the systems of magick, but not one of them gives you all the answers.. you are responsible to put the system together for yourselves… which may lead some down the wrong path if you’re not entirely grounded and you go by the way of seeking power for the wrong reason… so Aquarius says we have no reason to remain as the ostrich with our head in the sand preferring someone else to just give us the answers without doing the work ourselves…there are no shortcuts.  Now while the truth of the ultimate spiritual laws in this world are really quite simple… how you get to the point where you understand how that works and what part YOU play in that is what takes the time to learn to put that into practice, because we do have our own karma to work out at the same time, but Oh the RIDE, grasshopper.

“Once someone is familiar with the process of learning from their Higher Self they no longer require other’s to reveal secret knowledge to them. The source of all their wisdom is easily accessible and the truth of the ‘secrets’ can easily be demonstrated or observed, both internally and externally.”  Excerpt from THe Complete Magical Path Lessons •

Earth, fire and air.

The winter is the last season of the year and is controlled by earth.. the second month in the winter is controlled by Fire and Aquarius is an air sign.  So we have a need for abundant information, with the fire driving that force.

With the Tsadi we have the tubeshavat.. the holiday of the tree… the  tree of life is the symbol for the age of the mesiah… now I know that some believe that the messiah is a person coming to save them from the harsh realities of this world… and to them I wish them well in their quest, but I see the messianic age as something quite different.  The  letter Tsadi in the Thoth Tarot is represented by the Emperor, according to the corrections made by Aleister Crowley in his studies.   emperor

… now I remember the last time we saw this card, he had an oppressive nature.. he was the God Enlil, the jealous god, the priest Cyrus that said women should remain silent… but in our new age, perhaps he comes across maybe as a more devoted father…the spirit of Enki, the I come to bring you wisdom and here..let me show you this and that…. so that I can help you become a better you… So I’m only going to give his path attributions so that our words don’t have any influence at all upon the meditation on this card.

Also in the verse “the tzadik lives in his faith,”

Let me repeat that…. the Tsadik lives in his faith…why seek knowledge or wisdom at all.. because we live in the result of what we have believed… what we have created even without knowing we were doing it, so we live in the current state of what our faith has brought us because we all use it .. just because we aren’t aware of it’s existence does not diminish it’s affect in our world… so we seek knowledge and wisdom to gain the ability to create better.  I tend to shy away from anything that  churchy… so the word righteous has had a negative connotation for me for years… because I’ve seen a great deal of “self-righteousness” in my upbringing and I still struggle with that concept because I know how easy it can be to go over that edge… I’m working on ME and you are working on YOU and I know there’s a fine line between sharing what I’m learning and sounding like I’m telling someone else it’s what they should do too…so to that I say….seek and find your own right standing because all things remain relative and it IS still a personal matter.

The word eitz, “tree,” created on the third day, equals in gematria tzelem, 160, the “Divine image”  ‘

So in essence.. you are the tree of life… and on the tree of life… I want you to take note of where the sphere of knowledge rests..it’s not at the head where the crown is…that is intellect… the sphere of knowledge, if you stand against the kabbalistic tree of life, is closer to where your heart center is located… your gut instinct… so knowledge to me and the quest thereof, is getting in touch with that part of me that already has perfect knowledge because its’ connected to the entirety of the universe and beyond… but that information has to be filtered up to my intellect and my brain so I stop following after the egotistic crap my mind tells me to do.  You ever have one of those days where you’re completely in sync.. everything you need at each moment of that day, you’re just by some miracle led to it and then if you stand there and argue with yourself, you get off track and what really was a miracle is gone? Imagine walking that way each day you have left, following your instincts…your earthy firey airy instincts…  the possibilities for you are endless and as a whole, if we all are true to our purpose in life, the world is balanced and functions as it is supposed to.

Then there is the concept of “knowing” another in their truest form, two spirits intermingled in physical bliss as the letter beit signifies takes you to even higher states of consciousness.  Anyone see the movie, Altered States with WIlliam Hurt where he used that tank of water and would go into a meditative state and would actually become something else…He genetically regressed into a higher state in which he found his lower self, so to speak and I really don’t know what that came to me maybe because he dared to believe something way outside of the norm and winds up really finding himself.

“The axiom states that “nothing is true, everything is permitted” is the expression of the type of belief that is actually beneficial to all spiritual training. It is not that you have to believe in nothing (“nothing is true”), but understand that there are many levels to reality and truth, and that your personal beliefs may work for you, but are not automatically universal truths.”  Excerpt from THe Complete Magical Path Lessons

The Wood Horse year is a time of fast victories, unexpected adventure, and surprising romance. It is an excellent year for travel, and the more far away and off the beaten path the better. Energy is high and production is rewarded. Decisive action, not procrastination, brings victory. But you have to act fast in a Horse year. If you are not 100% secure about a decision, then don’t do it. Events move so quickly in a Horse year that you don’t want to gallop off in the wrong direction.

In ancient Greek religion and myth, the Anemoi were wind gods who were each ascribed a cardinal direction from which their respective winds came. They were associated with various seasons and weather conditions.

The Anemoi sometimes were represented as mere gusts of wind; at other times, they were personified as winged men; and at still other times, they were depicted as horses kept in the stables of the storm god Aeolus, who provided Odysseus with them in the Odyssey.

“The Capricorn New Moon educated you on power and control. How you use power. How you own your power. And/or how you give your power away. This is the year to empower yourself… ”

“The Aquarius New Moon represents freedom and liberation. Liberate your mind first and your freedom will follow. Aquarius reminds you to follow the beat of your own drum. Be unique. Be original. Be who you really are. Take a walk on the weird side of life. You may find a part of yourself that has been begging for expression. This is the Aquarian New Moon message.
