Welcome to the Full Moon in Aquarius. Our beloved Moon, the mother of our emotions, our inner child, our sense of perception and maternal instinctive selves, the root of the being inside that feels its way in and out of situations, in the sign of Aquarius, the water bearer and waxed full at 2:10 PM this afternoon at 17 degrees in the 4th house. Aquarius is original and free spirited, independent, seeks new directions and new paths.. the innovator and is always ready to lend inspiration on how to improve the quality of life. Aquarius is rebellious for rebellious sake… a stubborn revolutionary. Aquarius is fixed air ruled by the planet Uranus which is sextile this moon in the sign of Aries. Her keywords are individual, assertive, independent eccentric. In the 4th house which gives us our clue as to the moon’s direction sits in the 4th house, the house of our roots, the mother as the physical receptor of a new soul, the family, the circumstances surrounding conception and our early childhood…it is the root of our subconscious mind, our innermost self and the moon shines it’s brightest light upon those hidden feelings.
The Sun, our sense of self, our inner energy force as well as our physical self – our most natural path towards self realization, remains in the sign of Leo… loving and protective uninhibited Leo and sits in the 10th house, the house of the mid-heaven which is the house where our lives goal sits. This Aquarius/Leo is a special connection from looking at our roots in Aquarius to what we are supposed to do with what we came with in Leo.
Other aspects include the opposition, the place of dual polarity with Mercury, our sense of communication and everything related.. thinking, verbal, body language and even the devices we use to complete those things, also sits in Leo in the 10th house giving affirmation to the sun’s goals in realizing our purpose. Leo wants to be the center of attention so while we are getting those aha moments in realizing our potential, Mercury wants to communicate what those goals are.
The square, the place of tension and conflict with Saturn, the planet that rules our losses, our sense of contraction opposite Jupiter’s sense of expansion. Saturn is form and limitations and it’s easy to imagine why there is conflict and tension with the Airy Aquarius Moon who wants to run away with its new ideas. Saturn sits in passionate Scorpio in the 1st house…the house of our outer identity how we want to be seen by others, the organized well manicured analytical anal retentive going haywire inspired to throw caution to the wind and to learn to let go.
and last but certainly never the least is the sextile, the position of harmony with Uranus, our sense of independence and where we desire to free ourselves from the norm in the sign of aggressive and self motivated Aries with 6th house awareness where we adapt, compromise. The 6th house is also where any sickness shows up that may be related to a lack of expressing those feelings, whether we hold back or find an outlet for what we feel, and on that note… I’ve been studying the ritual of the middle pillar and Israel Regardie alludes that ALL sickness results from an inbalance in the energies in our body which also relate to psychological inbalances…for instance kidney issues he says, are related to one’s habit of holding back emotions and that rang especially crucial to me because my illness is kidney related and in my younger years, I was always the person that held back expressing emotions that I kept bottled up to the point I just shut down. Emotional beings must have a physical expression… that is what we are here for… without the physical expression of emotions, we are just spirit without need of physical form.
Today in the Hebrew Calendar is the 14th of Av. We talked at the New Moon about the month of Av being the month where we can receive the greatest light, where we have the greatest potential to connect with our higher selves. The month of Av is related to the sense of hearing…strict observers of chassidut recite a daily prayer called the Shema which goes… Hear O’ Israel… the lord our God… the Lord is one. When I was in the church system, I remember this pastor used to say, never fear following the voice of God for God has perfect knowledge of your future. Now when you broaden your view beyond the limited concept of God seeing all things as being God, all interconnected, following your instincts will always lead you to where you are supposed to be and when. I had an opportunity to watch the Long Island Medium over the last few weeks, and I like it when she just goes off on her natural way and just finds her way to whomever she is supposed to see on the streets, it’s most spontaneous. She says Spirit is always leading her to who she needs to deliver whatever message to. Now I’ve been saying since we moved that there is something quite different about living out of the city, the people have a different way of doing things and you can strike up a conversation with anyone and if you’re following your instincts, you’ll find out exactly what you need to know when you need to know it and from who.
Last moon festival we focused on the hebrew letter that created the month of av.. for the full moon, we turn our focus upon the letter that created the ruling planet, the Kaf. The kaf represents the power to actualize potential… take a moment to imagine the possibilities of what that means to you… Thus the Kaf hints at the power latent within the spiritual realm to fully manifest itself in the physical… God/Source must create continually otherwise creation itself would cease to exist… the potential is therefore actualized each moment to create BETTER!
The kaf is the 21st path on the tree of life connecting the 4th sphere to the 7th, from Chesed to Netzhach.
Chesed is the sphere of mercy. The sphere is associated with Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius and Pisces. Jupiter in our chart marks the area of our life in which we are likely to enjoy benevolence and boundless opportunities. Jupiter/Mercy also highlights the potential that you can transform into actuality. Mercy represents the most accepting and forgiving energy of the Tree of Life and creation as a whole.
Netzhach is the sphere of Eternity embodies the energy of Venus, the planet affiliated with both Taurus and Libra. This sphere oversees peace, diplomacy, negotiation, and relationships, as well as personal talents and money. Venus/Eternity in your chart underlines the area of your life in which your idiosyncratic talents can be deployed to generate financial security and abundance.
We also take note of this being another Super Moon as being one orbiting closest to the earth and tonight we are also expecting meteor showers… the moon may cause a bit of an issue with being able to see the shower however, but a great night with abounding energies for making wishes and setting intentions to actualize YOUR potential..
The letter Kaf and the 21st path represent the Wheel of Fortune card in the Thoth Tarot. …
The Wheel of Fortune is a symbol of destiny and destination, of good luck and bad luck, of the ups and downs of life and fate. Everything is in motion, turning and floating, constantly changing, accidental and uncontrollable. This is a card of great symbolism.. I was watching this movie this week called “Donovan’s Echo” about history repeating itself and symbols and their meaning to use… how a certain symbol can remind us of the past and warn us of the future… It’s been an incredible month, things falling into place seemingly out of nowhere. The day is under the watchful eye of the Prince of Wands with the energies of the 6 of wands, the card of Victory.
In the book, A Practical Guide to Qabalistic Symbolism states ” all subsequent creation from the purest force of kether is a gradual concretion into form of the one divine force. “. Since it is that creation must continue and god being everyone interconected and responsible for what does get created it is important that our thoughts that generate creation be what we want them to be so let us put that free spirited aquarian energy to work for us with new inspiration on what we can do different to create better.
This is essentially the great work learning to take our ego out of the thought processes and hence the things that we create In favor of those things which benefit our higher selves and thus benefit humanity as a whole. Just as is stated about magic since we do it anyway we might as well learn how to do it correct… The same is true about that which we create through our thoughts and our will.
