Full Moon in Virgo
March 9th @ 1:47 PM
Welcome to the Full Moon in Virgo which waxed at 1:47 PM EST. The Moon, representing the female archetype, the nurturer in our personalities, as well as the inner being that is you; dreams, desires, intuitions, etc., in the sign of Virgo. Virgo is feminine mutual earth. It is the analytical sign, and the sign of work. Virgo is about communication, in any form that may entail, talking, body language, inner guidance, and psychic abilities. Ruled by Mercury, the ancient god of communication, and commerce, Virgo rules intelligence, reason, and higher energy temperaments. The Moon here is concerned with the well being of others, in service of the greater all. WIth 3rd house energies, the Virgo Moon is very intuitive of the feelings, and mood energies of those around.
Aspecting this Full Moon include the opposition with the Sun, and Neptune, trine with Mars, Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter.
The opposition occurs when planets are directly opposite each other. It is a position of challenge that creates opportunities for growth, and change. The trick is to find a way to give the planets involved expression. There are three planets in this aspect; the Moon, the Sun which directs us to our basic character, and outer being, and Neptune which is the planet of spirituality, imagination, dreams, intuitions, and illusions, which will tend to intensify this Full Moon’s influence over our dreams, and inner abilities. With the three planets involved in the opposition, it won’t really be too difficult to give the planets expression when they are, for the most part, highlighting the same basic area in our personalities. The Sun in Pisces gives faith that extra backup it needs to carry dreams into reality. Neptune in Pisces takes our desires, and helps our sense of imagination clearly visualize our true, and pure desires, and the Moon in Virgo with its’ energy focused on how we communicate, helps us walk in that faith, and visualization. This is an aspect that miracles are made of. The christian bible teaches that anything asked in Jesus’ name with faith, it shall be done, but faith without works is dead. New Hermetics teaches visualization within the correct element is the key to manifesting desires, and then some religions and faith systems believe that we should desire nothing because all of our needs are already done, and our desires should be placed on things not of this earth, but that we should use our faith for our continued spiritual journey beyond this physical existence. Whether we’re going for things of the spirit, or things of the earth, walking in something being done, that hasn’t quite manifested in the physical, can be a challenge for anyone that isn’t practiced, but the energies of this Full Moon’s oppositions are aligned to help. However, a note of caution about sharing your vision with others, because as they say, “haters are gonna hate,” and not everyone will agree with what you’re trying to do with your own faith. We may walk in with an idea in our head of how things are going to go, and then let in the voices of those around us that little by little, break down the vision we have in our head, and we start to take our eyes off of our vision, and look at what we “see” around us, and that breaks down the vision and changes it from what we saw in our heart.
The trine occurs when planets are at 120 degrees from each other, and is considered an aspect of positive energy, ease, and good fortune. The trine includes Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto which are all in the sign of Capricorn which is the sign of the harvest, where we reap that which we have sown.
Mars is the planet of physical vitality, and assertiveness which will come in handy walking in that faith, and walking away from the nay-sayers. Jupiter is the planet of good luck, abundance, and higher knowledge. Saturn is the planet of discipline which will help both the experienced, and the inexperienced hold that visualization in your head, and Pluto is the planet of transformation, and untapped potential.
The thing about faith is, we use it all of the time without necessarily being aware that we’re using it. It’s like the concept of magic, you’re always doing it, so we should learn how to do it correctly, or with purpose. It’s absolutely connected to what you believe, including what you believe about yourself. I want to caution all of us to be careful, and safe when out in public, but don’t allow the hysteria, and the hype to turn you into a fearful person that anticipates the worst scenario, that will actually cause those things to happen. As people that typically try to focus on the positive, and have at least some understanding on why things are the way they are here in this world, we need to be aware that we need to be anchored in where we stand so that we’re not flushed along with the panic.
Today in Hebrew is the 16th day of the month of Adar; the month of Purim, and in fact, today begins the fast of Esther, which is the 24 hour period before Purim. The Torah portion for this day tells of the story of Amalek fighting against Israel. Moshe gave instruction to Joshua while he, and the other priests went up on the mountain to pray about what they had sent Joshua to do. In the story, Joshua listened and was faithful to the cause he was given, along with the prayers of the Priests, they were successful against Amalek.
The paraphrase for the month of Adar and its’ relative tribes of Ephraim, and Menashe is “and let them grow into a multitude in the earth.” as in the parable of the fish. While the idea reminds me of the interactive map of how the coved-19 virus is expected to “multiply,” it should be representative of the growing number of people who begin to realize that the truth of this “virus” isn’t as it’s being portrayed in the media, and allow those numbers to multiply so that we can combat the hysteria, and the belief in its’ power. According to doctors from the CDC, this virus’ effect upon the body is extremely comparable to that of any other strain of flu. Let us be reminded that the previous so called super bugs that were reputed to be deadly, did not live up to the hype about them either.
Today, because the male, and female archetypes are at opposite ends of the wheel, and the Sun stands in the sign of Pisces, we focus upon the ruling planet, and the hebrew letter that created it; Adar’s planet is Jupiter, and it’s hebrew letter is Gimel.
The letter Gimel, the camel, represents prosperity, and good luck. The month of Adar is considered the last month of the winter season, and is ruled by the final letter Hei in the Tetragrammaton, and is central column energy. The letter gimel is connected to the 13th Path on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life which connects the sephiroth of Kether with Tiphareth; the connection of the highest light of Ein Sof touching that which is universal to all, and touching that which is individual to us all. The 13th Path is also central column.
The sephira of Kether, according to Kabbalah, is the will for oneness. The path for the meditation I did last night was the 17th Path; the path of Zayin. The mantra for the path of Zayin is “separatism is only an illusion.” The Great Work is supposed to be about reuniting or re-aligning ourselves with our Holy Guardian Angel, or one-ness; the unification of two halves of the whole. So what is the illusion? I remember someone once told me that we are never really separated from God, using the analogy, that a man/woman/parent may not raise the child themselves, but they are still biologically, and chemically, the mother/father/parent. So one might reason, are we ever really separated from God, or is it merely a concept? Do your spiritual gifts ever really go away, or are they just dormant when you’re not using them? Or, is it about accepting the light, as well as the dark portions of our psyche, and mereby be our true selves. Afterall, we know that the darkness is given for a purpose; in some it is there to create a secondary personality that protects the individual from trauma, in some instances it is there to act as strength that protects us from our weaknesses. The sephira of Tiphareth is associated with the higher self, and the sign of Leo, and the Sun in your chart. It describes the area of your life where you can express your highest good.
Chabag.org states that the letter Gimel symbolizes a rich man running after a poor man to give him charity. The root for the word gimel is gemul which means the giving of reward, as well as punishment which refer us back to the merit to receive the light.
The letter Gimel is connected to the High Priestess in the Thoth Tarot.
“Here, let’s be satisfied to know that the Priestess represents the Moon in her higher aspect— the aspect that joins the human to the divine.
“In this card,” Crowley points out, “is the one link between the archetypal and formative worlds.”

In his book “Scrying the Tree of Life,” Chic Cicero writes:
“The Thirteenth Path is named the Uniting Intelligence, and is so called because it is itself the Essence of Glory. It is the Consummation of the Truth of individual spiritual things. This path is a direct pipeline that unites the Higher Self (Tiphareth) to the Divine Self (Kether). …The Thirteenth Path, like the Twenty-fifth Path, can be a path of trial. The student who travels unswervingly along this longest of paths toward the ultimate goal of Kether can sometimes experience sensations of futility, isolation, and loneliness in the long stretches when the goal seems to be nowhere in sight.”
Path Symbol: Silver crescent moon
For any newcomers – we’ve moved into doing a guided meditation on the tree of life path associated with the energies of the day. The guided meditation is taken from Chic Cicero’s Book Scrying on the Tree of Life with the corresponding solfeggio frequency tuning into the background.
